Image may contain: text
If you've never played along in the Coffee Lovers Bloghop, here's what you need to know: There's TONS of prize, TONS of inspiration, and TONS of opportunities to chat with other talented designers.

I was searching for inspiration for my card and came across this little number from Time Out Challenges

Check out that retro awesomeness. AND! I came across some paper that looked just like the wallpaper.

I used it for the background of my card and pulled out my Dark Coffee set from STAMPlorations.

I love the hilarious snarky humor of this set's sentiments and it has the perfect retro vibe to stand up to that busy background.

Check it out! It definitely makes me grin.

PS STAMPlorations has some pretty sweet discounts going on for the duration of the challenge. They're offering 25% off all stamps in the coffe/tea category AND you can get an additional 10% off by using code STAMPGIRLBECCA at checkout.

Now what are you waiting for? Go hop along, right meow! Link up your spring or summer coffee themed card for a chance to win some sweet sponsored swag.

Little Acres + Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Happiest of Fridays! I don't know about all of you, but I needed some super-sized caffeinated beverages to get me to the end of this week. I'm so excited for the weekend because I'm heading to two concerts & the Minnesota Craft Beer Festival! Woot!

But before I hop off to have some fun, let me tell you about a different kind of hop - a super awesome blog hop that members of the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Design Team are doing in collaboration with Little Acres Creations.

They have a big birthday celebration going on over at their place and this adorable, newly released stamp set that will definitely make you melt into a puddle of awwwwwwww (at least if you have any sort of heart at all).

I fell in love with the little mouse sitting atop a big ol' coffee mug and staring into the distance. So he was the first thing I inked up.

I colored in the focal image using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and added a little bit of highlighting with a white gel pen.

tim_holtz_distress_spray_stain_splatters_card

I splattered my card base with some Distress Spray Stain to tie in the color of my focal image.

faber_castell_metallic_texture_luxe_embossing_paste

I added some metallic texture paste stars to both the base and focal panel for a little dimension and shimmery goodness.

Lastly, I stamped a dreamy image into the bottom righthand corner and used some mounting foam to raise up my focal panel. Sigh* this card just makes me wistful and all googley eyed.

Well, that's my design and I hope you liked it! Now hop off to all the other great inspiration because there are some awesome prizes up for grabs that you don't wanna miss!

Gracielle Designs + Coffee Loving Papercrafters Blog HOp

Woop woop! There's a collaboration going on in the blogosphere and it involves coffee and a lovely new digital stamp set called Coffee & Love released by Gracielle Design

You're going to want to make sure to hop along because there are some awesome prizes to be won AND a ton of gorgeous inspiration.

I started by cutting out a buncha circles using a die cut from Studio Katia.

Then I made an adorbs little background by inlaying my circles.

One of the things I love about digital stamps is that you can size them just perfectly for what you want. And this particular set is soooooo pretty!I love the big ol' blooms spraying along the side of the coffee cup.

I added some crinkly ribbon to finish of my look and wound up with a cozy, pretty design.

That's all she wrote from me, but make sure you hop along to the next stop which is:

2017 Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

It's a hip hop, a hippity hop, a hip hip hop hooray!

(if you haven't heard that song, you need to google it now so that it's as stuck in your head as it is in mine.)

Anyhow

I'ts the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! Woooo!!!

I know you all have many places to hop along to, so I will keep this post short and sweet.

When I think winter, I immediate think Valentine's Day, because that' my favorite part about winter. Ergo (using antiquated words is fun, huh?), I decided to create a wintry love-themed coffee card for this particular hop.

I'm a Coffee Loving Papercrafter! (duh!)

Wooooo! I'm so excited about this and hope you'll join me in my celebrations and stop by the blog to see who else is inducted into the caffeinated crafter list!

I'll be back soon with some awesome crafty goodness, but for now am recovering from a whirlwind month of community event planning and vacationing!!

Coffee & Books Stamped Gift Set

Hello homies! Today I've got a card gift set that I'm gonna show off.

I don't know about you but I L-O-V-E to give presents! And I also like to make friends. Which puts me (and my wallet) in a conundrum when it comes to Christmastime. This year, I've decided to make a card gift set tailored to each of my friends' personalities.

preview-SheryRuss_GoodBooksandCoffee
I have one particular friend who loves coffee and loves books, so I broke out the new Good Books & Coffee stamp set and the Literary Caffeine-ations stamp set and got to work.

I used all different shades of Tim Holtz Distress Crayons to smudge and smear and create an artsy (but very easy) coloring technique.

I just LOVE the sayings in the Coffee & Books set (I know I'm biased because I designed them) but they are perfect for anyone who loves coffee as much as I do.

And now I have an easy peasy little giftie to give a friend.

This set is going to go play along in:
Crafty Creations: Masculine Challenge
Crafty Gals Corner - Anything Goes

 Winter 2016 Blog Hop
And of course the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop

A Tale of Two Coffee Cards - Vintage vs. Modern

Last night I buckled down in my craft room and had a coffee card making FRENZY. Ok, ok, I really only made two cards, but I knocked them out so quickly that I'm going to stick with the frenzy.

It just seemed like whatever stamp I pulled out spoke to me and said "oooo la la" (they were apparently French) "this is exactly what you should do with me". I probably should have stayed and crafted more but my craft studio is still at my old house until the craft studio at my new place gets finished. And it's scary crafting all alone in the dark in a big empty house!

Anywho - you're here for the cards, and not my blabbering - RIGHT?!

no_line_watercolor_stamping_vintage_card

My first design is nothing but a study in vintage frillery (it's a word if I say it is). STAMPlorations just released a card for all of you tea lovers out there called Always Tea Time and it's so luscious! I decided to try out a no-line watercoloring technique.

I stamped the image using Tattered Rose Distress Ink and then smudged the Tattered Rose and Vintage Photo DIs onto my craft mat and used them to watercolor. I love how this turned out - all antiquey and gorgeous.

vintage_stamped_homemade_card

I piled on some of my grandma's vintage lace, along with some Martha Stewart Crafts metal corners.
My card was really inspired by this lovely card from Tracey McNeely over at Muse Challenge:

I know some of you might be scratching your heads thinking - huh? Hers is so Clean and Simple, how could it possibly be inspired by that. The truth is, I rarely do CAS anything... but I was so inspired by the watercoloring and the soft pinks and greens. I saw Tracey's card and just fell in LOVE! <3  And this is what happened when I tried to duplicate something similar haha!! I started with a simple watercolored image, but then I kept adding layers and layers because... my stupid brain.

I'm also sending this one over to play along with Vintage Stamping Challenges - Lots of Layers

----------------------------------------------

And NOW for something completely different. Last Coffee Lover's Blog Hop I won an adorable set called I LOVE Coffee from Uniko Studio.

I also saw this funky cool, bright image from The Challenge this week:

I loved the bright colors mixed with the black and white. Those bold pink blooms just stole my heart.

using_micron_pen_to_embellish_cards

I stamped the coffee mug and then just decided to start doodling. I used a Micron pen to make a sketchy frame and then started writing coffee over and over again in a scrawling script.

funky_bright_stamped_coffee_card

BLAM! This is what happened! I colored the stamp using one of my brightest pink Spectrum Noir Markers (BP5) and did the same for the sentiment. Then I outlined both stamped things using my black pen.

pop_art_coffee_card_stamping

A little bit more doodling, a couple of strips of washi tape and I was set!
Woot!

I'm also sending this one over to Simon Says Stamp - Food or Drink challenge

Last, but not least, these are both going over to the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop
