If you've never played along in the Coffee Lovers Bloghop, here's what you need to know: There's TONS of prize, TONS of inspiration, and TONS of opportunities to chat with other talented designers.

I was searching for inspiration for my card and came across this little number from Time Out Challenges

Check out that retro awesomeness. AND! I came across some paper that looked just like the wallpaper.

I used it for the background of my card and pulled out my Dark Coffee set from STAMPlorations.

I love the hilarious snarky humor of this set's sentiments and it has the perfect retro vibe to stand up to that busy background.

Check it out! It definitely makes me grin.

Friends are Angels Stamped Card

I am in LOOOOOOOVE with the new releases at Visible Image.

One of my favorite new sets is So Much Stronger, which has all of these gorgeous sentiments that are bold and powerful (like the one I'm using in my card).

I have been hoarding erm... carefully saving some Tim Holtz angel wings and as soon as I got my hands on this gorgeous set, I finally had the perfect card to use them on.

I'd chosen some teal and warm brown papers to use on my card, so I wanted my silver wings to match. InkaGold to the rescue!

InkaGold is perfect for altering chipboard, paper flowers, and metal pieces. It can be used as a paste, or mixed with water to create watercolors.

After I smudged with teal, I added a second layer of light gold. OOooooo shiny!

I used the same gold around on a die cut piece that would be my focal panel for my sentiment.

Sponged around the edges with some brown Distress Inks to give it a vintage vibe.

I added a ribbon, and embossed the lovely sentiment and I have one stunner of a final design!

Joy Clair + Coffee Loving Papercrafters Blog Hop

I'm soooooo fleepin excited to share with you all that the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Design Team is teaming up with the Joy Clair DT to celebrate the release of their brand new stamp set "Coffee Love".

You should have arrived here from Robyn Jordan's blog on the hop list. You're definitely going to want to hop along because you could win a $25 Joy Clair gift card to buy all the lovely stamps you want!

I just adore the sketchy coffee cups in this set and I know I'm going to be using it for all sorts of occasions because it has sentiments for thank you cards, valentine's day cards, and hello cards.

My fave cup of the whole set is this little guy with the scribbly heart in the center. I raised him up  using some black Ranger embossing powder and then colored in the heart.

I used some coffee-themed designer paper from American Crafts and stamped a coordinating sentiment from the Joy Clair Coffee Love stamp set.

I took my inspiration for the layout from the sketch challenge over at Paper Craft Crew Challenges

Well that's all from me! Now get to hopping!

Live Like Tomorrow Doesn't Exist

Happy Weekend!
Today, I've got a card for you that's full of vibrant colors and movement. I was experimenting and trying out different combos of stamp sets and happened upon one particular duo that made my heart do all sorts of leaps.

To start my design, I stamped and masked the jumping girl from the Visible Image Tomorrow Doesn't Exist stamp set.

After I masked her up, I used the How Fragile stamp set, embossing it with clear powder.

Next, I spritzed the page with water and sprinkled on some turquoise Ken Oliver Color Burst crystals.

I spritzed again with water and let the crystals work their magics. I wanted a little more movement so I used a wet paint brush and made hard side to side strokes.

I splattered the whole thing with Picket Fence Distress Spray Stain.

I embossed and fussy cut a sentiment from the same
Tomorrow Doesn't Exist set.

Put it all together and ba-blam! OOOoooooo

I love the way this turned out with all the movement happening! Thanks for popping by and have a lovely Saturday!

STAMPlorations Wings & Things

Hello My Friends and happy Friday. I've got the most exciting news! Challenges are BACK at STAMPlorations and we've got some awesome inspiration for you today.

Basically you can play along with any (or many) of the challenges up at the STAMPlorations blog, as long as you're using something that has wings.

You can play along by either commenting or linking up a wing-themed spring project and win some sweet STAMPlorations swag!

To get into the Spring mode, I busted out some Ken Oliver Color Burst crystals and splashed the across a piece of white cardstock.

Spritzing it with water, the color start to bend and flow together.

I inked up some butterflies from the Buttercups & Butterflies stamp set, designed by yours truly.

Then I used the You Word Die Set to cut a big ol' saying and popped it up with some mounting tape.

Taaaadaaaa!

Psssst if you want to get your hands on some STAMPlorations projects, my bloggy readers can get 10% off anything in the store by using code STAMPGIRLBECCA at checkout.
