Taking a Tiny Bloggy Break - and a New Craft Room!

As many of you probably have surmised, I have died.

Just kidding - I've been missing from the blogosphere for a little bit and I KNOW that you haven't seen me commenting on your blogs, as per usual.

I have not died, I actually am in the process of moving. Sigh*
I'm just moving 5 blocks over, but all the work is still the same. I have one post scheduled for this Friday, but other than that, I'll probably be MIA until all these boxes are packed, moved, unpacked and everything is CLEAN at both places.

Have I said, Sigh*, yet?

Anyhow, I did manage to move my craft room last night and I'll leave you with these photos of my new studio!

The whole shebang! All put together, with my own artwork adorning the walls! (thank you panoramic setting)

The desk, where the magic happens! Patterned paper down below, cardstock up above and stamps sorted into bins! Along with some cards from crafty friends living up top!

The Cricut/Printer station and the Embossing Station (dry and wet!)

OOoooo - a mixed media shelf thingamob (I found the shelf at a rummage sale - it's an insert for a medicine cabinet) Front side holds Distress Spray Stains and texture pastes, back side holds Distress Paints and gesso/mod podge.

My coloring station/close up of my work space.

My window of cards sent to me by blog followers/crafty friends from all around the world! I definitely feel blessed every time I look at this window and it will be fun to change it out with the seasons!

So anyhow, this is what I've been up to, if you've been wondering. I'll be back in full force on October 1st to start the Hop to Stop

  10. You lucky girl! Not sure if I love your supplies, the room or the lovely, lush, gorgeous storage best lol!
The fact that you made sure this was set up immediately is exactly what I would chose to do if it was just for me. DH made sure that the TV was set up first and then the bed when we moved here. Men do get their priorities wrong at times.
I'm still trying to sort my room out from the big move around before Xmas, but I'm getting there albeit very slowly. It's not fun having a bad back because I really pay for it it I spend a couple of hours trying to organise.
Make sure you take a day or two to relax and don't worry about visiting until you are all settled in. Hope it all goes well huni and looking forward to seeing more of your magical creations. Karen x

  13. How organised is that new craft space! How long will it stay like that I wonder? If you are anything like me I don't need to dust as you can't see the surfaces! Hope you'll be v happy in your new spot. :)

  16. Oh Becca, so sorry this process has been difficult. I can certainly relate. Last year I gave up my studio and moved into the smallest room of the house because we had three kiddos come to live with us (and we already have 4 of our own!) The process was difficult to say the least, but in the end I am happier than ever and love my tiny cozy nook. Looks like you have ample space and the room already has everything you will need to go into a creative frenzy! Which I'm sure you will once the dust settles. Hope you love it, hun. :) Hugs, Autumn

On my last week in California visiting my Dad, and once I get back to Maryland...I hope to start on it. Looking forward to seeing your fabulous creations once you are able to get back into the swing. 21. I don't envy you moving, but I'm multiple shades of green at seeing your crafting room! So awesome! I have part of the kitchen counter, between the sink and the fridge, so a room would be like...like a mansion! One of these days! Hope all runs smoothly! We'll miss you but Oct. 1st, is close...

  22. Don't you worry, honeygirl. We'll all be here when you get back. Moving is a pretty rough venture, but you'll get through it before you know it! Great looking craft room, btw. Mine looks like a tornado hit it right now. Still working on my credenza now that I can get back to painting. I figure it can come in here in about a week or so...if I get this mess cleaned up, lol! Do what you need to, and we'll wait patiently for your return! Bev
