Firstly, have you seen that I'm running my first ever little giveaway? For more details see my "Featured Friday" blog post.
It seems like blogland has exploded in a profusion of Christmas-themed everything and I am loving it! I just won a gift card from Inspired By Stamping and used it to invest in their super sweet "Sugar and Spice" stamp set, which has the most adorable little gingerbread guys and gals and tons of coordinating fashion accessories.
I inked up those stamps as fast as my little fingers could open the package, and used the sketch challenge from Inspired by Stamping and the color challenge from The Paper Players to inspire my creation. You don't need to use any particular products to participate in either of these challenges. All entries are accepted.
If you've been here a time or two, you might know that I have a love of layering, and then layering on top of that layering, so I was excited to use the sketch!
I used kraft paper for the base and little tag and stamped part of a sentiment included in the Sugar and Spice set. Then I added lots of coordinating glittery papers.
I made a few of these because I like how they turned out so much! My Christmas stack keeps growing!
Since I used Inspired by Stamping product, I'm going to enter it into their customer gallery contest, too.
Thanks for checking out my latest creation! Follow my blog and leave me a comment and I'll be sure to return the favor.
Eeeek! How cute is that gingerbread guy! And you dressed the inside too....coool! Welcome on board!
ReplyDeletehugs, Asha
I adore your gingerbread boy! I own a lot of Christmas stamps, but I don't have a gingerbread boy in my collection. You have a gift of making your layering look great without overwhelming the viewer. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous, Becca! I love your layering! Your sparkly dp is so pretty! You made a lovely choice of stamps for your prize - your little gingerbread fellow is adorable!
ReplyDeleteBecca - this is fabulous. So very festive and yummy looking. Great layout and lovely inside. Congrats on winning at IBS. I love Joanna's stamps and have heaps. It is a great Australian site with so much inspiration.
ReplyDeletePS Thanks for the lovely comment you left on my blog. So appreciate you taking the time to do so.
What a sweet card, Becca, inside and out! Love the papers you put together for it!
ReplyDeleteWell, this is as sweet as can be! Love your little gingerbread and all your pretty layers! And I am so excited you stopped by my blog as well! Here's another tip for using roller wheels, if you don't want to unmount them: use a large acrylic block as a guide. Just lay it on your project and then roll your wheel along the side, using the edge of the block as your guide. It works like a charm!!! Anyway, thanks for playing with the Players this week!
ReplyDeleteBecca, the little gingerbread man is so cute and he's framed out perfect! You have a wonderful way of mixing the patterned paper where it all just looks wonderful together! Love the sketch you used too. Fantastic card!!!
