So I'm going to share my card today instead. Since it was April Fool's Day, I'm going to blame it on that.
And very appropos for April Fool's Day, the theme of the challenge is HUMOR! Here's my card:
Hehe - I thought it was pretty cute. And it a cool twist, the contestants of the challenge get to vote on the DESIGN TEAM's creations.
But there's also prizes in it for you, of course! And some pretty awesome ones!

Now for another something something that I am really proud to take part in. The amazing Tenia Nelson has conceptualized a blog hop in honor of National Autism Awareness Month. One in 68 American children have been diagnosed as being on the Autism Spectrum. So many people don't understand what Autism really is and bullying sadly often factors in the lives of those who live with Autism. If you'd like to learn more about this disorder, you can visit Autism Speaks.
In my former life (before I moved to the barren North Dakota) I worked with adults who had disabilities and helped them live their day-to-day lives to their fullest abilities. It was incredibly rewarding and the people I got to work with taught me so much about life, about joy, and about the difficulties faced by those who have disabilities. So being a part of this hop is something I'm thrilled to do.
When thinking about what kind of card I wanted to make for the hop, so many positive words came to mind but I stuck on one - Amazing. We as people are AMAZING creations. We have the propensity for love, joy, humor, and life. So I tried to focus on these things when making my cards.
I used various shades of blue Distress Inks to do an ombre effect on the background and then stamped over it, carrying the ombre through again. All of the stamps used are from STAMPlorations.
Come hop along with us! There are some AMAZING sponsors who've generously shown support for this great hop. 31 - from the squares I counted on the blog hop logo! Wowie!
Now for something a little extra fun:
>>>BLOG CANDY ALERT<<<
I'll be giving away a $10 gift card to STAMPlorations for one lucky commenter! Just leave a comment that includes contact info and at least one smiley face in order to be entered. It's not necessary to follow my blog to be eligible, but those who do will receive an extra entry into the draw.
Happy Hopping, my friends!

OK I love that humour card-It is quirky and fun. We are amazing creatures is we use our abilities in the right way (think abusive, nasty mean people). This card you made is so wonderful and in my favourite colours. It is great for the awareness month. I say something to my hubby when he says I am wrong about something-"You know, if I agree with you then we would both be wrong". Hahahaaaa ( I can't take credit for it as I saw it on a calendar but it is true). How would you create a card around that?? Love to see-Just saying:)

LOL;) Love both cards....the top one is to the point [sorry!!] & the 2nd ....well, I have a BF who adopted a Chinese Autistic7 yr old boy into her single parent home with her 14 yr old son! And then married a Malaysian man. Peeps look sideways at their family mix when they walk down the street, I can tell you! But Matt has become a remarkable young man, independent & off to uni. Not to mention he makes THE BEST EVER macarons. EVER!!!! Deserves a smiley. :).....sozzy....off track!!! Have a lovely Easter. And my your faceplanting with blogger scheduling be forever in the Past!!!
