You guys! You guys! You. GUYS! It was over 70 degrees this weekend. In March. In North Dakota. I feel like I'm living in a Dr. Seuss book or something with all the topsy turviness going on. Usually it doesn't reach 70 degrees until June and even that's a big IF.
Anywho - I've been enjoying the GLORIOUS weather, but do you know what I enjoy even more!? Getting to hang out in the blogosphere with the amazingly talented design team over at The Challenge. They asked me to be a guestie for them this week! Woohooo!
Here's my card!
Can you tell I was inspired by the springtime weather?
The more important inspiration, though is the color combo and sketch that The Challenge provided. If you've never played along over there, you can use either the sketch OR the color combo OR both if you wanna be an over-achiever.
The butterfly is from STAMPlorations Trendy Butterflies set and the sentiment is from Bloom Sketches. The main panel is from Winnie & Walter Essentials: Katherine Cutaways. I used a grey marker to add the faux stitching.
Anyway, if I say pretty pretty please, will you go check out The Challenge, become a follower, and play along? I promise you'll get some super sweet ladies commenting on your great artwork - and who doesn't love that?!
I'm also going to link my card up to support the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Things that Fly
Simon Says Stamp Work it Wednesday - Spring
Aud Sentiments - Use a Two-word sentiment
Thanks for popping by! Leave me a comment and I'll be sure to return the favor!

Your card is making me feel spring even though we did not have that nice weather. It looks dreary and the snow is gray and ugly. Your card is a ray of sunshine and I love the butterfly. Congrats on stitching as I can never do that. I tried to redo a hem that had fallen.....2 hrs later and it was all bunched up in some sort of Golem rag thing that I threw it across the room and went a ate a chocolate. i had to take it all apart and gave it to someone who did it in 5 min. ...show-offs
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the GD spot Becca and this is certainly a v spring like card. Glad you have some warmth but still a tad chilly over here. :)
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous card Becca, love the very pretty design and spring colours. Lots of signs of spring here thank goodness. Carol x

ReplyDeleteThis is very pretty! I love the stitched border! Thank you so much for playing along with us over at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful card Becca, yup I just pinned it so that I can CASE/copy it. ;) I adore your version of the string nest behind the butterfly--pretty fly actually. Enjoy that warm weather, we who live in the arctic deserve it.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely Becca!! I LOVE the fun nest of ribbon-totally great take on that technique!! I also love the colors you used. SO JEALOUS that it reached 70 degrees. It was warmer this weekend in CT but now it is cold and the wind is blowing so hard. I cannot get warm.
ReplyDeleteA bright and sunny colour palette. A very pretty, happy card
